My faith has been a huge part of my journey to greater health and these encouraging Bible verses from God’s Word have been an incredibly important part of my remaining focused on Him. It was not until I submitted my weaknesses to the Lord, started to view my body as the temple that scripture says it is, and relied on His strength that my focus shifted and I started to see true life change. My focus on health is no longer about how I look or what size jeans I wear; It’s about honoring the Lord with my choices, living the life of joy and abundance that He’s called me to, and seeing myself as loved and fearfully and wonderfully made.
Some are scriptures that I have memorized to meditate on through the day and especially in the midst of temptation. Others are verses that are written on cards and placed through out the house and in places that I can spot them regularly. One thing that has helped me is to keep my Bible open near or in the kitchen. My days are crazy, but its so refreshing to read a quick verse as I cook dinner or walk by with laundry in hand.
These are a few of the many encouraging scriptures that I read and prayed over the last two years. I pray that they encourage you and most importantly keep you focused on our God who able!
