Guest Blogger: Jaclyn Turner
Hi, friends! My name is Jaclyn Turner, and I am a wife, mom of three, and a health, wellness, and life coach over at Jaclyn E. Turner. I am passionate about bestowing beauty, confidence, and strength upon women by helping them live their best lives through improving their spiritual, physical, mental, and financial health, as well as all areas of their lives. I would love to connect with you further through Facebook and Instagram! I am so honored to share with all of you today, and I am thankful for my dear friend, Michelle, for the invitation to be a guest blogger.
As I thought on what to share with all of you, I couldn’t shake the sense of sharing what I am most passionate about. As a woman, I know how hard it can be to feel as though you measure up with what society puts out for all of us. Pinterest shares how easy do-it-yourself (DIY) projects are to pull together, as well as how any woman can not only put together a made-from-scratch meal for her family but also have time to contour her makeup and fishtail braid her hair. It’s enough to make any woman step away from the computer and feel as though she doesn’t have her life together.
Let me just go ahead and throw this nugget of truth out there: Anything that leaves you feeling defeated and less-than is not worth your time.
We were never created to feel defeated and less-than. God created each of us to be victorious and triumphant.
Ladies, you are more than enough for your family. You are more than enough for your spouses. You are more than enough for your children. You are more than enough. God placed your identity in Him, as well as your value and worth. Nothing can change that.
I know what it is like to struggle with feeling as though I just never measured up, and I also know what it is like to break that stronghold and step fully into the freedom that we all were meant to live in. And that freedom is available for you too, ladies! You don’t have to check Pinterest in order to find it. You don’t need a magazine to confirm it. You already have the approval and full acceptance from God.
“Instead, we are God’s accomplishment, created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God planned for these good things to be the way that we live our lives.” ~Ephesians 2:10, CEB
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people who are God’s own possession. You have become this people so that you may speak of the wonderful acts of the one who called you out of darkness into his amazing light.” ~1 Peter 2:9, CEB
“I give thanks to you that I was marvelously set apart. Your works are wonderful—I know that very well.” ~Psalm 139:14, CEB
“The thief enters only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest.” ~John 10:10, CEB
Ladies, I want to encourage you today with this post. My prayer is that you would begin to realize that you have everything you need to be victorious and triumphant, within you. It just may need unearthing. It may have become buried through the lies of the enemy, but you CAN unearth it!
First, seek out God. Drive yourself into His Word and spend time in prayer each day, asking that He help you recognize the value, worth, and identity that He has placed within you.
Secondly, seek out a positive circle of influence to surround yourself with. The more positivity you can surround yourself with, the more positive you will be. The power of your circle of influence is tremendous, so bring close the people of positive influence. Learn from them. Grow from the friendship. And pay it forward by helping others as you have been helped.
Lastly, seek out a Christian counselor or life coach. I am a huge advocate of counseling and life coaching. Friends and family are great, but they don’t always have an unbiased point of view of your life. Having a trusted outside confidante with whom you can speak with, meet with, pray with, and confide in is an incredible help to living your best life.
Ladies, you have all the beauty, confidence, and strength you need within you! Believe it! You can live your best life, and God created you to live nothing less than your absolute best life! Thank you for the honor of being able to share with you today!
XOXO,
Jaclyn
